Tri-State Fence & Deck installs heavy-duty industrial fences across the tri-state region—New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a licensed commercial fence contractor based in Sewell, NJ, we specialize in high-security perimeter fencing designed specifically for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and industrial parks.
We design and install complete industrial perimeter security systems—not just standalone fencing. Our contractors install systems that withstand heavy wind loads, resist corrosion in humid environments, and deter unauthorized access. From Gloucester County's clay soils to the region's harsh winters, our family-run team draws on 20 years of commercial fence installation experience across the tri-state area.
We also replace failing or outdated commercial fencing systems and upgrade existing perimeters to meet modern security standards.

Whether you're securing a logistics hub in Swedesboro or a manufacturing plant in Camden, we build industrial fence systems sized and specced for the job.

Most commercial fence failures we replace stem from shortcuts in the foundational installation—not the steel itself.
Our installation process addresses each of these failure points directly—keeping your perimeter secure and your facility running.

South Jersey's clay-heavy soils retain moisture and create strong upward pressure on fence foundations during winter freeze-thaw cycles. Tri-State Fence & Deck has engineered our commercial installation process specifically to handle this ground movement. Led by owner Ed Torres, our family-run team understands how frost depth and wind exposure in the tri-state region affect the long-term stability of a tall security fence. We sink every industrial post to a minimum depth of 36 inches to comply with local frost depth requirements, which vary by county across the tri-state region. We use heavy-duty bell footings to ensure your perimeter stays perfectly aligned and secure.
Our installations rely on ASTM-compliant, heavy-gauge steel built to withstand high wind loads, ground movement, and severe weather. Specifically, we use fabric per ASTM A392 (Class 2) and framework per ASTM F1043 Group IA, galvanized per ASTM F1083.

Commercial sites often have complex underground infrastructure. Before excavation begins, we verify your property lines and contact New Jersey One Call at least three full business days in advance, as required by New Jersey law. We wait for the official paint and flags, then hand-dig or hydro-vac within two feet of any marked utility.
An 8- or 10-foot security fence catches the wind like a sail in open industrial parks. We dig our terminal and line post holes to a minimum of 36 to 48 inches, consistent with or exceeding local frost depth requirements. We use high-PSI concrete poured into bell-shaped footings, doming the top slightly above grade to shed water away from the steel post and prevent ground-level corrosion.
We use industrial-weight top rails, bottom tension wires, and heavy-wall steel posts. The chain-link fabric is stretched to exact tension specifications to prevent sagging and secured with heavy-gauge aluminum or steel ties that won't snap under pressure.
The deep concrete footings, thick-walled steel posts, and high-tension mesh work together to handle extreme wind loads, soil movement, and daily operational impacts. If one component is undersized, the entire perimeter is compromised—which is why we spec every connection for the tri-state region's frost depth, wind loads, and high-traffic use.

Our 3-year transferable workmanship warranty covers any installation defect—including post heave, mesh sagging, and gate misalignment. It excludes only damage from severe vehicle impact, extreme acts of nature, or failure to perform basic maintenance. This is backed by our 20 years of commercial expertise and our status as a fully licensed (13VH13604500), insured, and bonded contractor.
How It Works—Simple, Transparent & Local
Every commercial fence project follows the same three steps, managed entirely by our crew from start to finish.

1. Plan & Measure
Site visit, utility marking, and township review. You'll receive a written proposal with an itemized scope and estimated timeline.

2. Schedule & Build
Once your 50% deposit is received, materials are ordered, and permitting begins. Most projects start within 2–3 weeks.

3. Walkthrough & Warranty
We inspect together before final payment and issue your workmanship warranty certificate.
Almost all NJ municipalities require commercial zoning and building permits for fences, especially those exceeding 6 feet or utilizing barbed wire. Processing times vary by municipality—in our experience, 14 to 21 business days. We handle the permit application process to ensure your installation complies with local commercial codes. Barbed wire is generally permitted in NJ commercial and industrial zones, subject to local ordinance. We verify your municipality's specific requirements before installation.
We provide free estimates tailored to your facility's specific project, materials, and site conditions. Costs vary based on total linear footage, material choice (galvanized vs. vinyl-coated), height, and security enhancements (barbed wire, small-aperture mesh, automated gates). Contact us for a detailed quote valid for 30 days.
We dig post holes to the depth required by local zoning and consistent with the frost line in South Jersey—typically 30 to 36 inches—and ensure proper drainage at the post base to prevent frost heave. For industrial applications with heavy wind exposure, we often dig to 48 inches for maximum stability.
Yes. We install heavy-duty cantilever and swing gates that integrate seamlessly with your facility's automated access control systems, ensuring secure, efficient entry for commercial fleets.
A properly installed heavy-gauge galvanized or vinyl-coated industrial fence will last 20 to 30+ years, requiring little maintenance beyond routine hinge lubrication and occasional tension adjustments.
6-gauge chain-link with barbed wire or small-aperture mesh provides maximum cut resistance and intrusion deterrence. Vinyl-coated systems add superior corrosion resistance in coastal or humid environments. We recommend a site consultation to assess your specific security requirements and facility constraints.
